IR Procedures

Interventional radiology (IR) is minimally invasive, image-guided procedures that treat a wide array of diseases and conditions. These targeted treatments use various radiology techniques to guide small devices, such as catheters and stents, into blood vessels to deliver medication, treat blocks, or open closed vessels. Usually, IR procedures require little recovery time because they are far less traumatic. As well as a reduction in recovery time, IR procedures benefit patients because they are less painful, less risky, and usually cost less. Click on the services below to learn more about interventional procedures and how they could benefit you. (Click the links below to learn more about these procedures.)

  • GENERAL INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

Interventional radiology provides minimally invasive, image-guided diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Learn more about IR.

  • NEUROINTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY

Minimally invasive care of patients with stroke, brain aneurysms, and other diseases in the head, neck, and spine.

  • UTERINE FIBROID EMBOLIZATION (UFE)

Uterine fibroids can be extremely painful and cause heavy menstrual bleeding, making daily activities very difficult. Learn how UFE can change your life.

  • INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY ONCOLOGY

Interventional oncology detects, diagnoses, and treats cancer with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Learn about the services we offer to diagnose and treat cancer.

  • GI/Biliary

GI/Biliary interventions treat blockages, narrowing, and injury of the bile ducts - passages between the liver, gallbladder, and small intestine. Learn more about GI/Biliary interventional radiology procedures.

  • VASCULAR

Vascular interventional procedures are used to treat disorders of the blood vessels. Vascular IR procedures can be used to open clogged arteries and to reinforce weakened blood vessels, such as the aorta. Learn more about vascular IR procedures and how they can help you.

  • RENAL

Renal interventional radiology is a minimally invasive procedure that treats kidney conditions. Renal IR can be used to treat kidney cancer, help with dialysis treatment, place nephrostomy tubes, and more. Learn more about renal IR procedures.
